The Indian batting features Rohit Sharma(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Ajinkya Rahane. Whether Ajinkya Rahane plays or not remains to be seen. Indian batting was badly exposed in Dharamsala on a wicket that was offering swing to the bowlers. But the Indians came back strongly in the second game and were led from the front by the skipper who played a flawless knock in a must win game at Mohali. Shreyas Iyer was also impressive with the bat. As far as the bowling is concerned the Indians have a really good pace attack with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in the side who have been absolutely superb in the recent games for India in the limited overs. However, they were a little wayward in the first game and weren’t able to utilize the bowling friendly conditions. Chahal was impressive with his leg spin bowling in the second game. Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Y Chahal are the spinners in the squad. Y Chahal again will be the key spinner. Hardik Pandya will be the key all rounder for India.
The Sri Lankans on the other hand have Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne, Dinesh Chandimal (c), Dhananjaya de Silva, Niroshan Dickwella (wk), Dimuth Karunaratne, Roshen Silva, Sadeera Samarawickrama as the key batsmen in the side. The main batsmen will be Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal and Lahiru Thirimanne. The bowling comprises of Vishwa Fernando, Dasun Shanaka, Lahiru Gamage, Jeffrey Vandersay, Lakshan Sandakan, Suranga Lakmal. Suranga Lakmal will be the key bowler for the visitors. The Sri Lankan pacers exploited the conditions extremely well in Dharamsala. Suranga Lakmal was in superb rhythm in the first game but was taken apart in the second ODI. Angelo Mathews also bowled brilliantly with the new ball.
The prediction is of an Indian win with 55-45 chances of winning. This was the preview of the game. Please leave your comments and suggestions in the box below.
